Help Wanted for First Friday

August 3 is the first First Friday in August and the next First Friday celebration downtown. If you aren't familiar with First Friday, here's the scoop:

On the first Friday of every month, downtown comes to life with music, art and entertainment. From 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., Macon's outdoor alcohol laws are suspended for the downtown area. One can stroll through art galleries, bookstores and eclectic shops with a glass of wine, or enjoy a cocktail listening to outdoor musicians. We will hit the streets with the New City Church fliers and begin inviting people to the September service and letting them know we are coming. This is a GREAT opportunity to experience downtown and to help hand out fliers and meet people. Take the family, eat at one of the many great downtown spots, then enjoy walking around downtown and meeting people. We'll meet in front of the Capitol Theater at 6:00pm and go from there!
