I have noticed (as have some others) that New City is experiencing something refreshingly different - a lot of men! I have read articles and seen some of the church numbers and they all point to an absence in the area of men. In David Murrow's book,
Why Men Hate Going To Church, it is said that
48 million women attend church every week while only 35 million men do. That's a gender imbalance of 13 million people. WOW!
The writing and blogging worlds offer many reasons why the gender gap exists and offers many ways to correct the problems. Whatever the source of a male absence in most churches, I am thankful that NCCd seems to be enjoying an abundance of men - at least, we seem to be 50/50!
Any of you NCCders care to suggest what you think we are doing right here?
